Thompson support blog
Last year, I had to write a 10 page paper for English, and I needed to talk about a variety of topics, including different topics about myself. I found that technology helped me write it because I was able to write my thoughts faster, and I was able to keep my original thoughts in my head before I lost them due to time passing by. I was also able to be more articulate with my words because I feel like I am able to write better whenever I use some sort of technology whether it is a phone or a computer. I feel that way because I almost always text or use Facebook, so when Thompson says technology is improving the writing of our generation, I completely support his position.

I'm a little confused on how you used Thompson as support. Are you trying to say that you agree with what he is saying because your use of technology makes your thoughts come faster- as in you use your skills of writing so much the flow of your ideas is faster and better? If so, I can totally see this and you have looked at the situation in a different light, which I find pretty cool. I can agree that by using these skills so often though social networking our ideas could be formed more quickly and written out.
ReplyDeleteI too am a little confused. In this post, it seems as though you are saying that technology helps you write faster, or that you feel more comfortable writing when it is on a computer because you are accustomed to it. You say you support Thomspon's view, but that is very different than what you are saying. Thomspon is arguing that the writing is improving itself because of the technology, not becoming more efficient. Maybe be a little more clear about what exactly you agree with, but it was a good start to the thinking process for the project.
